About Joolz
I have been making things continually since childhood.
I'm a creature maker and creator of many curiosities including handmade artist books, which include hand painted artworks.
I love stitch, old paper,, textiles, things from times past, and.... books...
I'm drawn to the discarded, the small things others disregard, and I make something meaningful , in its own time. . I follow my own way....
I work from my tiny home studio on the island of Anglesey off the North Wales coast.
Sustainability, beauty, the lost and the found and connection to the sacred are central to my approach, which often incorporates repurposed fabrics, packaging and household textiles. Items that have been discarded are given a new life through these creations, and all have a story to tell.
